My goal is to keep the session fun, light, and as easygoing as possible. We want what is special about your family to shine though and that doesn’t typically happen in a stiff, staged pose but rather when you are walking, talking, playing together and ignoring the camera. Of course I always take a few “safe” everyone-looking-at-the-camera-and-smiling shots but the moments I photograph where your family is just being themselves are usually everyone’s favorite! I love to go to new locations for family pictures but can also recommend several very “Colorado” looking parks and public spaces that are easy to get to and fun to photograph. My home office is just blocks from Olde Town Arvada with charming brick storefronts, an old flour mill, train station, a public fountain and more – there is a different background every few steps! Albums, gallery wraps and holiday greeting cards are favorite ways to display images from family sessions and all can be easily ordered from my online store. Whether you have a family portrait done every year or are long overdue, I’d love to be your Arvada Family Photographer!
