Family Pictures at Belmar Park ~ Lakewood, CO

The Dalys rocked this session! The focus was on Gavin’s one year old pictures with a goal to also get some natural, unposed family pictures at Belmar Park ~ Lakewood, CO . We choose this location mostly because of the variety it offers and there IS a lot of variety. I have been lovin my 50 mm 1.4 lens and have been going out of my way to use it on sessions like these where I am following quickly moving kiddos.  The limited depth of field and the light feel help me create my art … but you probably don’t really care about my new favorite lens ( : What I REALLY love is working with Laura because she has an appreciation of photography and puts so much thought into each session. She wants to capture every fleeting moment of her children’s precious first years. That is what gives me real joy. Being able to capture a moment in time for a young family. Just an afternoon in the park … but so much more. t
